WHERE ARE THE PARENTS

19 08 2012

I’m sure it is just me, but I am wondering where in the heck all the parents have gone. I read in the papers, hear on the radio and see on the television that the whole community is gathering together to provide for all those things that the children need to start school.  They emphasize that the child must feel wanted, loved, and happy in order to start the new school year. This means he needs all the school supplies packed in a backpack.  And he needs a new haircut and school clothes and whatever else he might want.  And all this is provided happily by the community.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  I am not against any of this. I agree with this wholeheartedly.  It does help the child to get a good start in school for the coming year.

But my point is – where in the heck are the parents of these children.  I know not everyone is out of work.  And besides, if they are willing to work, they can find something to do to earn a little bit of money, enough to provide for their child to start to school.  Why are those parents not providing for their own children.

Believe me, I know what it is like to be flat broke over and over again.  And yet, somehow, some way, my husband and I always provided for those children to start to school.  And ours went to the parochial school where we had to buy uniforms, too.  And when I was really broke, we would eat frozen food that had been stored before we were so broke and buy one uniform for each child. Then I would wash and iron this one uniform each afternoon so they could wear it again the next day and the next and the next.

My parents provided for us also.  My father used to complain about having to pay the fees the schools assessed each family for those supplies we used at school. He said he paid taxes that were supposed to provide for that since public schools were supposed to be free for each child.  And he definitely had a point but that is another subject.  My point is that the parents should be providing for their own children these days just like we did before.

Instead, there is so little learning done in the public schools these days that most of those parents cannot keep a checkbook or even keep up with their own cash.  They do not pay their bills.  They do not provide even food for their children.  Why.  Why.    Why.  Is this but another example of what the 1960’s and its terrible behavior did to us?  And it has been handed down in the generations of those who will not work, will not try, will not provide for their own?

It is time for all these handouts to stop. It is time to require those parents to provide for their own children.  Instead, they are providing for themselves and let the community, i.e. government, provide for their offspring.  I don’t think so.  It is not the business of the government to provide.  It is the responsibility and the job of those parents to provide for their own children.  Period.  It should be required from each of them constantly, every day, until they get the idea of what responsibility means.  Evidently they do not know the meaning of the word.  It is Time!!!!

No child should grow up thinking that he gets his food from the school, his haircut free, and his school supplies provided with no input from his parents.  I personally think all this free stuff should be charged to the parents and they should be required to pay before they eat out, buy something shiny at the store, and buy more  drugs.  As is said, if you are willing to put up with this, then you can expect to put up with this.  Hopefully, the new administration of Romney and Ryan will put a stop to this behavior.  I certainly hope so.

Vote Republican this time around.  Our very existence as a free country depends upon your vote.  Vote Republican!

FEDERAL RESERVE AGAIN

26 03 2012

Since I brought up the subject of the Federal Reserve and their terrible plans for all of us, thought I would continue with that just a bit.  People usually do not pay too much attention to whatever the Federal Reserve is doing because they don’t think it applies to them directly.  But it really does.  You just have to get used to the terminology and read between the lines like you have to do on everything these days.

We live in a Capitalistic Country.  Thank Heavens for that!  But – and this is a big but – if you take the capital out of the system, then you slowly but surely destroy the system by just simply starving it to death.  It is a long, drawn out death, but it will definitely occur unless something is done to stop it.l

Our administration such as it is these days is backing the Federal Reserve System while it does just this.  If you have no monetary interest being paid on money that is loaned out, then you stop the system from loaning – over time.  As I said, this takes a long time, but after awhile, no one pays any attention until all the Capitalistic System is gone.  What comes next. Have you ever even thought of that?  Remember the countries in Europe when they had no money at all?  I do.  I remember when they had to rely on us for their very existence.  But we were doing well since we had administrations that understood all of that and could control their actions.  Remember we could all go to the bank and buy a C.D.  And we made a little bit of interest.  This is what most people aimed to do as they got older and saved their money.  This was called their nest egg.  No interest on nest eggs any more.

Nowadays, the Federal Reserve says they pay no interest to keep inflation down. Well, as I said previously, just take a look at the prices that are slowly but surely creeping upwards on everything you buy.  Not in great amounts at once as it did under Jimmy Carter, but those prices are beginning to take a toll on everyone.  Clothing costs just a dab more.  Schools have raised their tuitions just a dab.  Groceries are inching up every week.  Gasoline is over the top already.  And everyone these days has at least one car and some have more than that.  And they cannot drive much because the gasoline is so high.  Oh, My!  Could that be the start of telling us where we can go and how we can get there?  Pay attention to your freedoms to go and come as you please.

If the people in the Country cannot invest and make a little interest on their investment, then there will b e no investment.  Period.  End of that subject.  People will just hold onto the money they have and sit it out.  This means the Country will eventually come to a standstill.  Who are you reading about that is investing now.  Why, it is our Government.  They are the ones who are going to build the new roads.  They are the one with the stimulus cash.  They are the ones who are in charge.  Watch that!  They are in charge?  Why?  Usually, it would be up to the local people to invest in their own issues, schools, roads, etc.  Not now.  All the money comes through the Government. And remember, you are the Government and you are the one who is going to pay those taxes forever and ever to pay for whatever the Government chooses to spend your money on. Only you don’t have anything to say about it.

Please pay attention this year.  And don’t vote for anymore dishonest politicians.  Study up on each of them and find out exactly where they stand.  If they are not honest and above board on everything, then find someone else to vote for.   And by all means, Vote Republican!  It is very important this time around.  After this time, you may never get the opportunity again.  Just look at the disasters of the last few years and remember what can happen in the next four years.

Vote Republican!!!!

WELL DUH!!!

5 02 2012

Read a big article in the local paper today that stated that not everyone needs to attend college or get a college degree.  Well, DUH!!!   I have been saying that for centuries.  That was well known back before the 1960’s crowd came along and decided we all were stupid and didn’t know how to do anything right.  Then, THEY all decided that everyone needed a college degree in order to dig a ditch.  Ever since then, all the education has been changed. Now, before a child knows how to read and write and do arithmetic, he must be geared up to attending college.  After all, this is the absolute end of the world.  And for some, it definitely is.

I went to high school and got a very good education.  That was all that was required back then unless you wanted to be a doctor or lawyer or candle maker or whatever.  Unless you wanted to go into the professions, then you didn’t need a college education.

BUT – and this is a really, really big BUT these days.  You do have to learn how to work.  At something, somewhere, sometime.  There are certain criteria that you must follow in order to be employed.  You must look presentable when you apply for a job.  And you must be willing to work at whatever job it is that you get.  Most young people are anxious to work at about age 16.  That is a good learning time for all young people.  Whether it is at a school or a restaurant or a car wash, everyone needs to get that first job.  And then they must learn how to satisfy the employer with their performance in that job.  Getting fired is a great learning experience.  Because then, you know what it is you have to do the next time in order to keep a job.

Today, most people have never worked.  They go to school and then to college – to get that wonderful degree.  And then, they are under the impression that people will be waiting outside that door just to give them a job.  That is not so.  And it will never be so.  Everyone has to earn that right to have a job.  And you do that with EXPERIENCE.  And you cannot get experience if you have never worked a day in your life.

Most people who complain that they cannot find a job have a false impression of themselves or their job.  A job is just simply that – a job.  It might not be the job you really want in life, but it is a beginning and you must start somewhere.

So, keep in mind that not everyone has to have a college education in order to have a job and draw a reasonable salary.  All you have to do is be presentable and apply yourself in the job.  Then you can make it in this world.  As you learn, you can move on to a better job until you find the one you are suited for.  This is what everyone wants in the world of jobs – a job that is satisfying and pays a decent salary.  What more can you ask for.

And you don’t have to have a college education in order to achieve that.   DUH!!!!

FROM THE TOP DOWN

13 01 2012

I have so much trouble accepting the fact that no one seems to  understand what is going on in our country today.  It is being destroyed right in front of you and no one seems to know why.  Sure, employment is down.  Sure, money is tight.  What could you possibly expect.  Also, the rhetoric about the greedy American and the terrible, terrible big businesses.   All this is being generated to work your mind and make you think everything and everybody here is just absolutely awful.  This is not true at all and this is not the reason why we have economy problems.

The truth of the matter is quite simple.  And you don’t have to be a math whiz to understand it.  But today, a lot of high school graduates can hardly write their name much less handle a checking account.  And they don’t realize that people have to make money in order to have money to spend.  Simple facts.

The Federal Reserve or whoever it might be that really handles the money issues in Washington decide how much interest will be paid on money invested and they set the standards for all the country.  So, they decide not to pay any interest on borrowed money, then no one makes any interest on borrowed money.  This doesn’t bother a lot of people but it stops the growth of the country.

The way it works is like this – If no money is paid out in interest on investments, then investments dry up.  That is answer #1

Then everyone has to come to a screeching halt because there is no investment, no money to work with on building of any kind.  This includes building of municipal projects, schools, roads, hospitals, almost any large projects that you can think of.

So the money is now dried up.  No investments, no money to work with.  Everything and I do mean everything stops.  That is answer #2

This means that no building is being done, no improvements anywhere so this results in layoffs and the people in the know blame this on everything from greedy Americans to big business because they are not ‘sharing’ their profits.  No one can make any profit either. There is absolutely and positively nothing going on anywhere.  That is answer #3.

So, you see, the answer to the big problems have to come from the top down, not from the bottom up.  You don’t put the whole country back to work by providing another big loan to a bank or to a car manufacturer.  You just simply pay more interest on money and then money starts to flow around and this is turn results in jobs being done and people going back to work.  It is very simple to understand, but most people have never heard this side of the story.

Look around in your town and see what is being built today.  Are new houses being built the same as before?  Are streets being fixed as before?  Are schools being repaired and enlarged or whatever is necessary in your town?  Or is everything at a standstill while we blame someone else besides the politicians and the money people in Washington.

If they raise the interest rate on investments even one point, you would see money begin to be invested once again.  But one point would not be enough to overcome this standstill.  If they raised it possibly 3 points, then things would begin to move even more.  This is not inflation.  This is simple business practices.  That money must be invested.  Bonds must be bought in order to finance improvements of any kind.  But the investor will NOT – I repeat will NOT – invest when he cannot make any money on his investment.  Simple math.  All those in the financial know know this.  They are working this in order to destroy our standard of living in this country.

Listen and learn.  And demand that something be done at the top.  Now!  Before we get any further in debt in this wonderful country.  Before this wonderful country is destroyed.

Wake up America!  Before it is too late.

SAME OLD BULL!!!

6 01 2012

Do you remember the bully from your school?  I do.  He lived next door to me and would wait for me as I walked to school.  He would then push me into a bush or against a building and demand my lunch for the day.  My mother had made that lunch for me and I held onto that sack for dear life.  I was not giving that to him no matter what!  He didn’t really want it anyway.  He just wanted to harass me.  In fact, he would throw the lunch away before he got to school.  That was why I tried to protect it so much.  He had no right to that lunch.   It was mine and I properly appreciated it.

He was going to have a hot lunch prepared for him at school.  It would be the ‘lunch of the day’ provided free to him and paid for with other people’s hard earned money.   He just simply  wanted what was mine, not because he was entitled to it, but simply because it was mine. And he would just take it, not because he needed it, but because he felt like I should not have it.  In fact, in his eyes, I should not have anything more than he had.  So he was the bully from my school.

A bully always just takes what he wants.  He shoves, pushes, and harasses just to get his way.  He thinks he is entitled to whatever he wants.  He never would consider actually working for it.   He just thinks – monkey see, monkey have.  That is the way most bullies think.

Reminds me of the  thinking of  bullies of today.  Everyone else is greedy.   Bully want.  Bully should have.  They don’t need it nor want it.  And would never consider working for it.  Same Old Bully!

END OF 2011

30 12 2011

Boy am I ever glad this year is about to end.  It has been absolutely terrible.  All I read in the newspapers is violence, death, robbery, and trouble, trouble and more trouble.  Don’t think that is the way it is supposed to be anywhere.

One war after another.  People talking now about another war about to start.  The way I feel is forget it.  Let people live their own lives clear across the world and leave us alone.  And those comments about big business all the time and how rich everyone is – those that work that is.  Silly stuff.  Everyone is supposed to get out there and get it best they can.  May not be a million dollars a year, but anyone can make a living if they will just be willing to work.  People will not get hired if they show that they are not willing to work.  Period.  End of subject.

But the way I feel about everything is that God will provide.  Always has, always will.  But most people forget that it is said that God helps those who help themselves.  Always true and always will be.

Right now, I am hoping that God will send us someone to lead this wonderful country.  Haven’t seen anyone yet who can do that.  Seems that all of them have a strike or two against them.  Just have to wait and see who comes out on top of the stack and then I will vote for anyone who is running against Obama.  Period.  End of that subject, too.

2012 is going to be a great year.  Just wait and see.  Best year we have ever had.  All that violence and problems in the world are going to be much better.  And everyone is going to have a good life.  I’m sure that will happen if we will just trust in God and try to live a good life.  2012 Here we come!!!

STUFF AND MORE STUFF

19 10 2011

I am sitting on my hands every day and trying to stay out of the political fray.  But some day I am going to just blow up.  I have never in all my days seen such a rift between the ideas of people politically.  I cannot understand some of what I read because it is so far out to the left.  How can anyone believe some of their statistics and some of their rhetoric.  At times, it just simply makes no sense at all.

For instance, this so-called Wall Street Protest.  What in the heck is that all about.  Get up in the morning, get dressed APPROPRIATELY, apply for a job and take whatever you can until you can get on your feet and get a better job.  I always just went out and agreed to work wherever I was sent by the employment agency and somehow I got a job when I needed one.  Might not be what I wanted, but it was a job and it paid me a salary and it provided food for the table and money for the rent.  That is what a job is all about.   It is not about how many degrees I have.  Nor how many benefits will be offered to me.

Benefits are not the most important thing.  In fact one employer told me one time that when someone came in and immediately asked what benefits were offered, his answer was ‘what will you do for me to make me money’.  That is what a person is in business for – to make money.  If he does not make any profit, he has to close his doors.  Simple as that.

Then no one would have a job at that business.  So, someone needs to tell these wanna’ be hippies that they need to get up in the morning, get dressed APPROPRIATELY, and go apply for a job.  Somewhere, doing whatever they need to do to get paid and be able to provide for themselves.

Well, there I go again.  Wasn’t going to say anything, but then I saw someone painted up with tattoos on the tv screen today protesting Wall Street.  Like they know what in the heck they are protesting anyway.  How do you protest a district or a building or a name.

Sure makes me wonder about the ideas in people’s heads these days.  So much for that.
